Dana White shares update on Jon Jones future

Jon Jones has almost been out of sight out of mind for several months but Dana White has provided an update on his future in the sport.

‘Bones’ has already cemented himself as one of the greatest to ever compete in any form of combat sports but his legacy is in question. The 37-year-old has come under fire from fans for allegedly ducking a fight against the reigning interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall.

While all has gone quiet on his future, Dana White has now provided a positive update on Jon Jones’ return to the octagon.

Despite the doubts, White isn’t phased by any rumors suggesting Jones may be looking for a way out of his rumored Aspinall clash.

The UFC CEO recently discussed the Hall-of-Famer’s imminent future in the sport.

“Jones will fight anybody,” White said as fight rumors begin to heat up. “Don’t let the internet fool you about Jon Jones.”

If White’s words are true, fans should stop fretting about the ongoing negotiations between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall.

The pair have been rumored to meet inside the cage for almost two years. Since then, the Brit has gone on to successfully defend his interim strap while Jones managed to earn a dominant title defense against Stipe Miocic.

Despite contradicting reports, the pair seem to be on a collision course for what would likely be the biggest fight in UFC heavyweight history.

As several contenders begin to emerge in the division, many fans are hoping to get some clarification on the title picture in the near future.

One man who is impatiently waiting for news is Tom Aspinall. Should Dana White’s comments ring true, the heavyweight affair will likely take place later this year.
