Fighter tries to use scale as weapon at BKFC weigh-in | Video

BKFC 70 Hollywood, FL takes place tonight (Thursday) at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla, and his headlined by a lightweight bout between Luis Palomino and Howard Davis.

On Wednesday, the fighters competing at the event officially weighed in and things got physical between the heavyweight co-main event fighters, Leonardo Perdomo and Steve Herelius.

After weighing in, the fighters were faced off for the customary staredown. As they stood face-to-face, both men were doing a lot of talking. At one point, Herelius put his hand on Perdomo’s shoulder and Perdomo told him to not touch him. Herelius then threw a backhand slap toward Perdomo’s face and Perdomo responded with a left hook to the jaw. Security quickly intervened.

Just as it looked like the situation was under control, Herelius picked up the scale and went toward Perdomo. Security kept the fighters separated and BKFC President David Feldman disarmed Herelius of the scale.
