Dana White is exploring the possibility of both Jon Jones and Conor McGregor competing on the same card, if all goes to plan with the UFC’s ambitious White House event.
With a year left to wait until the monumental card unfolds, the possibilities are almost endless regarding what kind of show the UFC can produce. Many thought the pay-per-view at The Sphere in late 2024 would never be topped, but that could be blown out of the water if all comes together at the Executive Office of the United States President Donald Trump.
Since the announcement that the UFC would be welcomed into the White House to showcase its biggest talents, some iconic names have shown interest. Not only has Jon Jones decided to come out of retirement, but Conor McGregor also seems keen to find a matchup for the event.
“Well, everybody wants to be on this card,” White said. “I mean, you don’t even have to know who’s blowing up my phone. You can just see it all on the internet.”
“You know, the fight’s a year away, so the landscape will change a lot over the next year.”

White then insisted fans should be looking forward to a badass card for when their show at the White House rolls around.
“It’ll be a pay-per-view card. [It’ll be] the best card we can possibly put together.”
“[Jones and McGregor on the same card?] I don’t know. I mean, in a year, who knows what the world will look like in a year…”
“It’s a year away, it’s not even worth talking about who would be on the card. The entire MMA landscape will be different a year from now.”
While he is keeping his ideal fight plans close to his chest, Dana White has already confirmed one of his dream fights for the UFC White House event. Barring any problems, White would love to finally put together the long-awaited Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall heavyweight title affair.
