In the aftermath of his underwhelming victory over Mike Tyson, Jake Paul has another blockbuster fight in his sights.
After promising a standout performance against one of the greatest boxers of his generation, ‘The Problem Child’ put on a somewhat lackluster display. Excuses were made by the 27-year-old but he still believes he has the star power to call out some of combat sports’ biggest athletes.
Shortly after putting a target on Canelo Alvarez’s back, Jake Paul turned his attention to Conor McGregor.
Paul took to social media following his win on Friday night to propose a challenge to the Irishman.
“Dear Conor, I know you told my team you would fight me at 170 lbs,” Paul stated on X. “That’s never happening.”
“But let’s run it in MMA. No weight class. Just like how it used to be done. But you won’t.”

Conor McGregor has been hinting at a move away from the UFC for some time. With his contract coming to an end, it could be sooner rather than later that we see the Dublin native compete somewhere outside of the octagon.
A move to his co-owned BKFC promotion could be a possibility for McGregor, though Jake Paul’s persistent callouts could sway his interests.

If ‘The Notorious’ doesn’t bite on the bait, it looks like the influencer won’t have any trouble finding an opponent in the PFL SmartCage.
In response to Jake Paul’s post on social media, former UFC star Jake Shields put his name into the hat for a potential fight—prompting a response from Paul.
“I’ll fight you in MMA, no weight class,” Shields said regarding a matchup against Paul. “But you won’t.”
It didn’t take Jake Paul long to respond. The controversial star quickly dismissed any chance of a fight against a man he deems ‘irrelevant’.
“You are right because you are even more irrelevant than Nate Diaz.”
