In his retirement from the sport, Jorge Masvidal has been adding to his legacy outside of the octagon and becoming a married man is his latest achievement.
‘Gamebred’ has long been a student of mixed martial arts and throughout his long career, nothing tops his legendary run in 2019. The Miami native silenced the UK crowd with a devastating knockout over Darren Till, scored the fastest knockout in UFC history against Ben Askren, and capped it all off by becoming the first BMF champion—beating Nate Diaz to do so.
As impressive as his run in the cage was, he now has something more precious to celebrate.
Confirming the news on social media, Jorge Masvidal tied the knot with his partner earlier this week, just days after his birthday.
The newlyweds headed to Machu Picchu, Peru to make their marriage official. Machu Picchu, known for its beautiful landscapes, is a popular holiday destination, and from the looks of it, the married couple and their guests had a brilliant time.

This announcement comes just months after Jorge Masvidal began plotting a UFC return.
The 40-year-old is getting the itch and seems ready to make a big return to the UFC. Should his comeback unfold, Masvidal had a list of several names who he’d like to be standing across the cage from upon returning.

Standing out among the names was arguably Leon Edwards. The former welterweight champion has history with Masvidal following his attack backstage five years ago.
Edwards remains without a clear path in the division since losing his title to Belal Muhammad at UFC 304.
With the history behind their potential clash, could we see Leon Edwards be given a chance to avenge past events against Jorge Masvidal next?
