Two title fights headline UFC 315 in Montreal

On May 10, the UFC will host an event in Montreal Quebec, Canada for the first time in a decade and the event features two world title fights.

Welterweight champion Belal Muhammad puts his title on the line in the main event against No. 4 ranked Jack Della Maddalena. In the co-main event, women’s flyweight queen Valentina Shevchenko takes on No. 2 ranked Manon Fiorot. The fight promotion made the announcement on Wednesday.

Muhammad (24-1, 1 NC) won the title at UFC 304 last July, defeating Leon Edwards by unanimous decision. Muhammad has won 10 fights in a row and hasn’t tasted defeat since 2019.

Della Maddalena (17-2) hasn’t lost a fight since 2016. He’ll enter the title fight against Muhammad riding a 17-fight winning streak. He last fought in March 2024, knocking out Gilbert Burns at UFC 299.

Shevchenko (24-4-1) won back the women’s 125-pound championship at the Sphere in the UFC 306 co-main event defeating Alexa Grasso last September. Grasso ended Shevchenko’s first title reign at UFC 285 in March 2023. The two fought to a split draw in the rematch six months later. The pair were opposing coaches on The Ultimate Fighter 32 and a trilogy bout was booked for UFC 306. Shevchenko won a in a one-sided decision.

Fiorot (12-1) has reeled off 12 consecutive wins since losing in her professional debut in 2018. She last fought in March 2024, defeating Erin Blanchfield via unanimous decision.
