UFC legend defends Brock Lesnar amid alleged sexual misconduct lawsuit

Since his rise to fame in 2002 and becoming the youngest WWE champion in history, Brock Lesnar has been one of the biggest names in sports. However, rumors are beginning to heat up, suggesting that his time competing in the wrestling ring or under the UFC banner could have reached its end.

After dominating in the world of professional wrestling, Lesnar made his way to the octagon, becoming the first success story to execute that transition. While many struggle to adjust to cage fighting from different sports, the NCAA Division I standout adapted to the change like a duck to water.

Brock Lesnar captured UFC heavyweight gold just four fights into his mixed martial arts career. Despite his success and large following, Lesnar may now be banned from competing in both the UFC and the WWE.

Daniel Cormier recently revealed that Lesnar is fighting an ongoing legal battle that has landed him in hot water with his superiors. Adding to that claim, Chael Sonnen has shed more light on exactly what the wrestling powerhouse allegedly did wrong.

“Brock got involved in something called ‘sexting,'” Sonnen said. “And this is an uncomfortable word. It’s a combination of the words sex and texting.”

“This is what the kids do now, right? They’re dating online; it’s a very different world…”

Chael attempted to defend Lesnar’s case, insisting that questions should stop being asked if those involved were two consenting adults.

“Were there two consenting adults? Does anybody feel unwhole? Does anybody feel violated? Does anybody feel victimized? And I think if you asked all those questions, you’re asking far too many.”

“But in this case, you could ask them. And you would get a yes to consenting adults, and you would get no, nobody is upset here. And it should stop right there.”

Chael continued, siding with Brock Lesnar throughout his witch-hunt.

“Nobody has defended Brock. As a matter of fact, nobody has even just told the truth about Brock. Bury him, guys. Bury him. Just tell the truth.”

“We believe that Brock was texting, and we have to say that. We have to. Nobody has even taken the step to verify that that was Brock’s phone number, which would be pretty easy to verify. There are only about eight people that you could ask, but people do have that number.”

“Nobody has verified that it was Brock on the other end of that number. I think it’s reasonable to assume that he was. I’m sharing for you [that] the most minor of investigations were not done.”

“Now, why wouldn’t a minor investigation be done? Why wouldn’t we juxtapose that number with the small handful of people that have it just to get a conversation?”

“Why wouldn’t we at least ask Brock, ‘Hey, was that you?’ Do you want to know why? Because it wasn’t any of our business. Because there were two consenting adults. Because, in a level of crime, this was not only not felonious. This was not even mischief. This was not even a misdemeanor. This was not looked at in any level by any authoritative body because it was two consenting adults talking dirty…”

“That’s a big punishment.”
